Senior Consultant Dan Kennedy Joins GEI


FRANKLIN, Massachusetts, June 2, 2025 – Dan Kennedy, P.E., has joined GEI Consultants in Franklin as Senior Consultant. Dan has more than 20 years of proven leadership in waterfront and energy projects. He is adept at strategic planning, business development, client and stakeholder management, technical oversight, and regulatory compliance.

“With both local and international experience, as well as recent work on the owners’ side, Dan brings a unique understanding of our clients’ perspectives,” says Alan Pepin, P.E., WEDG, Vice President & Senior Project Manager of Waterfront Structures at GEI. “He provides needed depth and knowledge in managing multi-disciplinary teams, driving innovation, and delivering major infrastructure projects on time and within budget.”

Dan started his career as an engineer-diver performing waterfront inspection, design, and construction resident engineering services for U.S. and international clients. He served as Head of the Ports and Terminals group in Dubai, managing complex port, terminal, and offshore island development projects. Upon returning from his work overseas, he held the role of New England ports practice leader for two prominent engineering firms.

“I was drawn to GEI’s extensive expertise in waterfront and geotechnical engineering services, as well as the employee-owned company culture and GEI’s strong financial position,” says Dan. “I look forward to bringing my expertise to the team’s projects, providing strategic leadership while growing the group to meet the company’s goals.”

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and is a candidate for his Master’s in Business Administration, to be completed in early 2026. He is a professional engineer in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
