GEI was retained by the Town of Marshfield for the assessment and design of immediate repairs at Hewitt’s Point for 900 linear feet of shoreline restoration impacted by winter coastal storm events.
Work included wave analysis and assessment to allow for the design of riprap shore protection and concrete seawall repair/protection to account for sea level rise.
GEI was responsible for preparation and obtainment of regulatory approvals. Services included development of final design repairs that included seawall toe stabilization and protection and existing revetment restoration. GEI services also included the development of construction drawings, technical specifications, providing bid phase services, and assistance in contractor selection.
GEI performed construction phase support services throughout the revetment construction for Hewitt’s Point. The project was completed in 2015.
